Nirmal Sandhu was born in village Akbarpura in Distt: Sangrur, Punjab, India. Since childhood he had good ears for quality music. During his college days he won numerous awards in singing and essay writings.

After obtaining Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering from GNEC Ludhiana, he migrated to USA where he obtained MS Degree in Professional Aeronautics. After a very successful career in Aviation in USA, recently he has diverted his attention to his second love which is singing. He lives in Los Angeles, California.
